Myleene Klass has crushed any hopes that she’ll be part of any Hear’Say reunion, explaining that she doesn’t want to ‘go backwards’.
The Dancing On Ice star rose to fame on Popstars in 2001 when Hear’Say was formed with original members Myleene, Kym Marsh, Suzanne Shaw, Danny Foster and Noel Sullivan, with Johnny Shentall joining later.
As the pop group’s 20th anniversary approaches in February, fans are hoping the gang will get back together for one last dance but Myleene has already turned down the offer.
Speaking to You Magazine, the presenter revealed: ‘They asked me. I told them, “Go forth, with my blessing”.
‘Look at where we are. We are mothers of blended families and second marriages and Kym’s a granny. It’s a lifetime ago.’
She added: ‘If I go backwards, I won’t know who I am. I hope it works. I will be cheering the loudest.’
Life has certainly changed for Myleene, who now has three children and is engaged to Simon Motson. Her two-year marriage to first husband Graham Quinn ended in 2013.

Hear’Say enjoyed a whirlwind of success in the early noughties with hits Pure and Simple and The Way To Your Love reaching number one in the UK. Their debut album, Popstars, also topped the charts.
However, there was turbulence in the group prompting Kym to quit in January 2002 before being replaced by Johnny. Hear’Say didn’t last much longer and the group split for good in October that year.
Former Coronation Street actress Kym recently addressed the rumours of a reunion around the 20th anniversary.
She said on the One Show: ‘The truth is that, while we have been talking and it would be nice to do something to mark 20 years, right now we don’t have any plans to make a comeback.
‘We’ve basically all reconnected during lockdown and have been chatting on Zoom and doing a bit of reminiscing, talking about the fact it will be 20 years soon.
‘We’ve obviously all had much more time on our hands , so it’s been lovely to catch up.
‘Over the years, I’ve seen Myleene and Suzanne at various events, and Danny has done gigs for me when I’ve done charity balls for my late son Archie, but I haven’t seen Noel for 18 years! It will be lovely to meet up when we can.’
