DC Mayor Muriel Bowser wrote to Trump on Sunday asking for the emergency declaration.
The declaration states that the Federal Emergency Administration Company (FEMA) can present wanted help from Monday via January 24.
“Particularly, FEMA is permitted to establish, mobilize, and supply at its discretion, gear and assets essential to alleviate the impacts of the emergency,” the declaration states.
